After 15 years of serving the Rochester-area with comprehensive moving services designed for older adults, A Smooth Move is now ready to help with moves in St. Paul, Minneapolis and the Twin Cities Metro.
“Our #1 goal is to make moving easy for older adults, ” says founder Kimberly Alwin. “Most of our clients haven’t moved for 40 years or more. That is why we provide services you won’t find with a standard moving company.”
A Smooth Move understands the unique challenges associated with caregivers of older adults who move into assisted living, nursing homes or dementia care, and founded the business after their personal experiences moving their elderly parents. They offer packing and transportation services, decluttering, cleaning, sorting & downsizing, furniture setup, and post-move services. They will even install floor and door jamb protectors.
“Because each client is different, your move can be customized according to the services you need,” adds co-founder Brian Alwin.
Twin Cities offices are located in Oakdale, and A Smooth Move is also a member of the Woodbury Chamber of Commerce.
